Rozella Walter

Rozella Celesta Walter, 100, formerly of Laurelton and 6693 Furnace Rd., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 9:25 p.m., Saturday, May 2, 2020, at The Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.

She was born August 26, 1919, in Glen Iron, a daughter of the late Lester E. and Ellen C. Johnson. On January 31, 1940, she married Russel E. Walter, who preceded her in death in 1982.

Rozella was a 1937 graduate of Laurelton High School.

She was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. Rozella also worked at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont, and J.P.M. Co., Lewisburg.

Rozella was a member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg.

She was involved in the Ramblers Club and Homemakers Club. Rozella enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Rozella loved her dog, Abby, who also passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2020.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Clifford E. and Deborah D. Walter of Mount Carmel; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Leon Montague of Dillsburg, and Lisa and William Spickler of Mount Carmel; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Ed Johnson; and one sister, Mary Ellen Jordan.

Services will be private.

Burial will be in Dreisbach Church Cemetery, Lewisburg.
