Donald Bingaman

Donald E. Bingaman, 85, of Pleasant Grove Rd., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 5:41 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born January 17, 1935 in Glen Iron, a son of the late Stuart and Louella (Bowersox) Bingaman. On September 25, 1953, he married the former Mirriam B. E. Grubb, who survives.

Don was employed at Pennsylvania House for 43 years, until retirement.

He was a member of Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.

Don enjoyed working on cars, working outside, collecting various items, helping the Amish, and spending time with his family and going on picnics together. He was a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Club.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 66 years, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Donald Bingaman Jr., of Millmont, and David Bingaman and Kim Ruhl of Mifflinburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Katherine and Rich Miller of Lewisburg, and Debra and Clarence Ettinger of Lewisburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Paul Sheesley of Lewisburg; two brothers-in-law, John Benfer and Frank Duke; five grandchildren and their spouses, Linda and Tim Kerstetter of Mifflinburg, Sue and Brian Guffey of Mifflinburg, Angie Fetterolf and John of Lewisburg, Scott Fetterolf and Stephanie of Mifflinburg, and Tracy and Bob Woolsey of Shamokin; nine great-grandchildren, Cory, Dakota, Derrick, Clint, Harvey, Ryan, Courtney, Elizabeth and ORyan; and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Jean and Rube Sword, Nancy and Ken Prutzman, Helen and Ken Kugar, Shirley Duke, and Darlene Benfer; one brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Irene Bingaman; and one brother Ken who died in infancy.

Burial will be held privately in Mifflinburg Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
