Ann C. Wright, 85, of Lewisburg, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born April 1, 1935, in New York City, a daughter of the late John and Evelyn (Stewart) Hennessy. She was married to George W. Wright for 49 years, until his passing on June 23, 2012.

Ann was a graduate of the Bellevue School of Nursing and Hunter College with a bachelor of science major in nursing.

She retired as nursing supervisor in 1998, after working as a Registered Nurse at Bellevue Hospital and Franklin Hospital Medical Center of New York for a total of 42 years.

Ann attended Sacred Heart Church of Lewisburg, and was an active member of Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church where she lead the card ministry and was eager to lend a hand wherever needed.  She also enjoyed knitting, reading, cooking, and baking. Ann was a volunteer at Evangelical Community Hospital with 3,000 hours of service and a volunteer with Meals On Wheels.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa (Bill) Bernard of Lewisburg and Alison (Rich) Werkmeister of Sparta N.J.; a son, Bill Wright of Greensboro N.C., eight grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be conducted privately.  Live steaming of the service will be available on the Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church website, www.beavermethodist.org, at 1 p.m., Tuesday, January 12th.

Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Ann's memory be made to Beaver Memorial United Methodist Church, Sacred Heart Church, or Evangelical Community Hospital.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
