William "Buck" Diehl

William “Buck” S. Diehl, 96, of 45 Cooper Mill Rd., Mifflinburg, for the past 50 years, entered into rest at 5:38 p.m., Saturday, September 14, 2019, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

He was born February 27, 1923, in Mifflinburg, a son of the late Guy W. and Pearl E. (Spotts) Diehl.

Buck was a 1941 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He served in the Air Force from 1942 until his honorable discharge in 1944.

Buck was employed as a mail carrier for the Mifflinburg Post Office for many years.

He enjoyed golfing and traveling to Florida and Arizona.

Surviving are his companion, Edith Dietrich; and one niece, Ann Escow.

Buck was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Dickey.

Burial will be conducted privately at Mifflinburg Cemetery.
