William "Bill" Duke

October 13, 1950 — March 4, 2015

SELINSGROVE – William “Bill” Henry Duke, Sr., 64, of 373 Route 204, formerly of New Berlin for 42 years, entered into rest at 2:49 a.m., Wednesday, March 4, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born October 13, 1950, in Lewisburg, a son of Lee Duke of Selinsgrove, and the late Edna (Bingaman) Duke. On November 11, 1967, in the Church of the Nazarene, Selinsgrove, he married the former Linda L. Lewis, who survives.

Bill was a 1968 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.

He was employed as a Body Shop Manager at Zimmerman Motors, Sunbury, Carl Haga Chevrolet, Milton, and most recently Paul Stine Chevrolet, Selinsgrove.

Bill was a member of the New Berlin American Legion Post 957.

He enjoyed his Harley Davidsons, Corvettes, going to the races at Selinsgrove Speedway, and hunting.  Bill’s pride and joy was his two children and three granddaughters.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 47 years, are one son, William “Billy” H. Duke, Jr. of Selinsgrove; one daughter and son-in-law, Tina M. and Joseph Dauberman of Selinsgrove; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, Barry Duke of Selinsgrove, Richard and Karen Duke of Winfield, Kenneth and Sandra Duke of Selinsgrove, Jeffrey and Melanie Duke of Pittsburgh, and Kevin Duke of Northumberland; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jean and James Forbes of Winfield, Linda Leach of Lewisburg, Pamela and David Rump of Mifflinburg, and Rita Kurtz of Selinsgrove; two brothers-in-law, Robert Leach of Winfield, and Ronald and his wife Diann Lewis of Cumberland, Maryland; two sisters-in-law, Terry and her husband David Hackenburg of Mifflinburg, and Connie Boyer of Milton; three granddaughters, Ashley, Lindsey, and Sarah Delp; two great grandchildren, Bryer John Mitch and Emma Koch.

He was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Harper LaRue Mitch.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 9 p.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.

The funeral service will be conducted privately.
