Lewisburg

Thelma F. Weller, 97, formerly of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 2:00 a.m., Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 9, 1927, in Middleburg, a daughter of the late Clarence G., Sr. and Iva Mae (Stuck) Hummel. On March 8, 1964, in Lewisburg, she married Dale Luther Weller, who preceded her in death July 22, 2010.

Thelma was a member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kratzerville.

She was employed at the Milton Shoe Factory for 16 years.

Thelma was a member of the Shamokin Dam Fire Company and the Lewisburg American Legion.

She enjoyed dancing, playing cards, cooking, canning, and caring for her flowers.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry A. and Donna Berge of Kratzerville, Geary G. and Susan Berge of Selinsgrove, and Richard D. and Sandy Berge of Winfield; one daughter, Connie L. Schreffler of Winfield; one daughter-in-law, Dorothy Berge of Winfield; three step-sons and one step-daughter-in-law, Roger Weller of California, David and Cheryl Weller of Millmont, and Carl Weller of Utah; one brother, Gary F. Hummel of Northumberland; one sister, Margaret A. Craver of Middleburg; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by one son, Carl E. Berge, Jr.; one step-son, Neil Weller; step daughter, Phyllis Weller; four sisters, Romaine Spangler, Arla Herman, Violet Hummel, and one sister in infancy; one brother, Clarence G. Hummel, Jr.; great grandson, Maddox; and son-in-law, James L. Schreffler.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 27, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11.

Burial will be in Lewisburg Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Kratzerville, 4298 Route 204, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
