Sylvia Hackenberg

MIFFLINBURG – Sylvia Ann Hackenberg, 69, a resident of Heritage House, Lewisburg, for the past year, formerly of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 1:38 a.m., Saturday, May 14, 2016, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born November 20, 1946, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Fred and Elizabeth (Feaster) Eisenhuth.

Sylvia was a 1964 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was a member of the Miflinburg Alliance Church.

Sylvia was employed as the manager of the Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410 for over 30 years.

She enjoyed walking and her dog “Buddy”.

Surviving are one son, Deron E. Hackenberg of Milton; one daughter and son-in-law, Amy L. and Ruel Simon of Winfield; one sister and brother-in-law, Margie and Stanley Booney of Sun City Center, Florida; three grandchildren, Brady Hummel, Jason Hackenberg, and Chase Hackenberg; and three step-grandchildren, Michael, Alexandria, and Sierra Simon.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Guy Eisenhuth.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Donald L. Hewlett, officiating.
