Stephen F. Buttorff

Stephen F. Buttorff, 73, of Millmont, entered into rest Thursday, October 1, 2026, at home.

He was born September 23, 1953, in Lewisburg, son of the late Charles H. and Betty J. (Griffas) Buttorff. On September 6, 1975, in Millmont, he married the former Linda M. Englehart, who survives.

Steve was a 1971 graduate of Mifflinburg High School and a 1973 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College.

He was a member of the Buffalo Valley Brethren Fellowship, Mifflinburg.

Steve was owner and operator of Buttorff’s Sales and Service, Hartleton, for 48 years.

He served his community through his role as Hartley Township Supervisor for 36 years, and was instrumental in the development of the Hartley Township Recreation complex. Steve assisted in the Mifflinburg Area Little League as president, coach, and umpire.

Steve enjoyed hunting, coaching soccer with his daughter, and attending sporting events with his children and grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen T. and Heather E. Buttorff of Millmont, and Daniel J. and Abigail A. Buttorff of Lewisburg; one daughter, Kara B. Buttorff of Mifflinburg; 4 grandchildren, Sophia R. Buttorff, Isaac T. Buttorff, Blair B. Buttorff, Phoebe J. Buttorff; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one brother, William E. Buttorff.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, October 7, and 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, October 8, at Buffalo Valley Brethren Fellowship, 46 Brethren Church Rd, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eric Reamer, officiating.

Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
