Shirley Libby

Shirley I. Libby, 82, of 1270 Swengel Rd., Mifflinburg, for over 40 years, entered into rest Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 92 Vista Drive, Mifflinburg, where she had resided for the past 10 years, with her companion Donald “Mitch” Mitchell.

She was born May 24, 1936, in Hartleton, a daughter of the late Solomon and Lydia (Oyster) Boyer.  She married Carl Libby on April 12, 1952, who preceded her in death in 1971.

Shirley was employed at Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg, for 32 years.

She was a member of the Selinsgrove Moose and Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410.

Shirley enjoyed puzzles, painting, working with her hands, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Barry and Deb Libby of Mifflinburg, and Gary and Fawn Libby of Mifflinburg; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pat and Adron Oberdorf of Mifflinburg, Susan Rearick and her companion Rob Renn of Mifflinburg, and Sandy and Ken Duke of Selinsgrove; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Donald Boyer of Mifflinburg, and Robert an Alverna Boyer of Millmont; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty and Matt Watkins of Philadelphia, Mary Lloyd of Mifflinburg, and Kate Beaver of Lewisburg; 10 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Junior, Sunny, Bill, and Jim Boyer; four sisters, Hilda Sheesley, Mildred Wenrick, Grace Hollenbach, and Marie Gift; and one grandson Carl Libby.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
