Scott “Tiny” H. Gessner, 62, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 3:47 p.m., Sunday, August 17, 2025, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born April 22, 1963, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Harold and Helen (Oberlin) Gessner. On September 21, 1991, he married the former Lucille “Lucy” A. Miller, who survives.
Scott was a 1982 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He owned and operated Gessner’s Meats, Lewisburg, and worked as a chicken catcher, employed at Kuhn’s Brothers, Lewisburg, N.S. Troutman’s, Freeburg, and worked as a Butcher at George Farms, Danville.
Scott enjoyed making ring bologna and tending his Gessner’s Produce Stand.
Surviving in addition to his wife of nearly 34 years, are two sons, Jeffrey Gessner of Danville, and Jamie Gessner of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Ray and Linda Gessner of Mifflinburg; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Janet and Mike Shoemaker of Mifflinburg, and Judy Swank of Mifflinburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Dan Swank; nephew, Brian Swank; uncles, Luther, Ernie, and Vernon “Tub” Gessner; cousins, Terry Gessner, Todd Gessner, Melanie Smith, Clayton Gessner, and Rockey Gessner.
Family and friends are welcome to a celebration of life starting at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 11, at the New Berlin Social Hall, 415 High St, New Berlin. Food will be provided.
