Ruth I. Troup

Ruth Irene Troup, 64, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 12:42 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at home.

She was born October 17, 1961, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Frances (Ross) Shuck of Lewisburg, and the late Doug Bridge. On April 4, 1985, in Selinsgrove, she married Michael K. Troup, Sr., who survives.

Ruth was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She attended the Mifflinburg Church of the Nazarene.

Ruth enjoyed scrapbooking and spending time with her grandchildren.

Surviving are one son, Michael K. Troup, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant Mills; one daughter and son-in-law, Tiffany and Jason Chestnut of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren, Julia Chestnut, Allison Chestnut, Norman Troup, and Nicole Chestnut; one brother, Greg Bridge of Lewisburg; and one sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Clifford Ruhl of Lewisburg.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Duke Troup.

Services will be private.
