Ruth A. Sprenkle

Ruth A. Sprenkle, 90, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 2:25 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Brookdale Grayson View Hospice, Selinsgrove.

She was born January 2, 1936 in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Lodge W. and Carrie Jane (Neidig) Chappell. On September 20, 1958, in Harrisburg, she married Clair E. Sprenkle, who preceded her in death on August 21, 2022.

Ruth was a 1954 graduate of Susquehanna Township High School, Harrisburg.

She retired from Mifflinburg Bank and Trust.

Ruth enjoyed quilting and reading.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Thomas W. and Lisa Sprenkle of Middleburg, and Gregory W. Sprenkle of Penns Creek; one daughter, Kathryn J. Sprenkle of Selinsgrove; one brother, James Chappell of Stuarts Draft, Virginia; one sister-in-law, Harriet Chappell of Hershey; two grandsons, Michael W. and Stephen D. Sprenkle; one step-grandson, Daniel Delcamp of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by one brother, David Chappell.

Funeral services will be private.
