Rosabell Libby

MILLMONT – Rosabell E. Libby, 99, of 136 Libby Rd., since 1953, entered into rest at 1:30 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2016, at Heritage Springs Memory Care, Lewisburg.

She was born June 27, 1917, in Northumberland, a daughter of the late John and Lizzie (Snyder) Bastian.  In 1934, she married James C. Libby, who preceded her in death December 5, 1979.

Rosabell was employed as an attendant at the Laurelton State School for 30 years.

She was a member of the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Mifflinburg, where she served as nursery attendant for many years, and enjoyed baking for church events.

Rosabell enjoyed bowling earlier in life, watching birds, and cooking for her family and friends at her home.

Surviving are three sons and two daughters-in-law, Larry Libby of Salem, Steven and Patricia Libby of Lewisburg, and Brian “Jim” and Marsha Libby of Mifflinburg; four daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Donald Flinchbaugh of Jamestown, New York, Kay and Bob Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Boneita and Jim Vidmar of Coraopolis, and Debra and Ronald Sholly of Millmont; two brothers, Harold and John; three sisters, Jennie, Marjorie, and Nora; 20 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 4 brothers; and 6 sisters.

Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eric Reamer, officiating.

Burial will be in the Church of the Brethren Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to either the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Attn: Children’s Missions Projects”, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, PA 17844, or to a charity of donor's choice.
