Ronald C. Hower

Ronald C. Hower, 76, of Lewisburg, entered into rest Saturday, March 16, 2024.

He was born August 30, 1947, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Harold Reighl and Charlotte Clair (Walker) Hower. On December 2, 1972, he married the former Virginia Brouse, who preceded him in death in 1997.

Ronald was a graduate of 1965 of Lewisburg High School.

He served in the Army as a Sergeant from 1966 until his honorable discharge in 1969. 

Ronald was employed at American Home Foods, Milton, for over 30 years.

He enjoyed going to McDonald’s in the morning with his friends, and spending time at his brother’s garage.

Surviving are three daughters, Monica Hathcock of Watsontown, Juanita Bergmann of Navarre, Florida, and Gina Snyder of Milton; one brother, Les Hower of Mifflinburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Jay Napier of Springfield, Ohio, and Cindy and Gary Lowe of Columbus, Ohio; and 6 grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Tony Snyder.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 23, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating. 

Burial will be in Mazeppa Union Cemetery with military honors accorded by the American Legion Post 410 and VFW Post 1964, both of Mifflinburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
