Ronald Lee Burns, 88, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 1:27 p.m., Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at home.

He was born September 19, 1937, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Emery F. and Helen Mae (Oson) Burns. In 1958, he married the former Marianne Boyer, who preceded him in death February 2000.

Ron attended Lewisburg High School.

He served in the Army for 8 years until his honorable discharge on March 9, 1964.

Ron was employed at American Home Foods, Milton, for 30 years.

He loved golfing, especially with his wife, shooting pool, played football in high school, and was a Penn State Football fan.

Ron was a member of the Lewisburg and Montandon American Legions.

Surviving is one son Clint Burns of Lewisburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Thom Mountain of North Adams, Massachusetts; one sister and brother-in-law, Gaye and Dave Klose; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Burns; one daughter, Mandy Burns; and one brother, Jack Burns.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
