Roger R. Spickler, 84, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 3:40 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2025, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born December 29, 1940, in Danville, a son of the late Clyde and Florine (Bowersox) Spickler. On May 21, 1977, in the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg, he married the former Dianna F. Ruhl, who survives.
Roger was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Lewisburg, where he served on the consistory and the finance committee.
He was a 1959 graduate of West Snyder High School and a graduate of Trine University, Angola, Indiana.
Roger served in the Army in Korea until his honorable discharge.
He was employed as a sales representative in consumer packaged products.
Roger enjoyed traveling and was an avid sports fan, especially Penn State.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 48 years, are brother-in-law, Thomas and his wife Karen Ruhl of Williamsport; nieces and nephews, Phillip Ruhl of Williamsport, Peter and his wife Erin Ruhl of Williamsport, Emily and her husband Jared Glidewell of Muncy.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 8, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, with Pastor Gary Nottis, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery where military honors will be accorded by the American Legion Post 410 and VFW Post 1964, both of Mifflinburg.
