Roger Hartman

MIFFLINBURG - Roger Lee Hartman, 57, of 481 Shrawder Rd., entered into rest peacefully at 8:20 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015, at his home, surrounded by his wife and family.

He was born September 3, 1958, in Lewisburg, the son of Anna E (Maxfield) of Mifflinburg and the late Ralph J Hartman. On May 22, 2000, he married the former Janet Susan Hunter, who survives.

He was a 1976 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

Roger was employed as a truck driver at Bingaman & Son Lumber, Kreamer, for 30 years, where customers were happy to see him early in the morning with a smile on his face. Previously, he worked in Dietary at Laurelton Center for 7 years.

He was an avid John Deere toy collector, and a charter member of the Buffalo Valley Two-Cylinder Club. Roger enjoyed plowing and parading with the club, where many of his family were also members.

Roger’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife and grandchildren. He was loved by all who knew him.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 15 years, are 2 step-daughters and their families, Jennifer and Rick Mihills and their son, Wyatt, of Annapolis, Maryland, and Jodi Orr and her companion, Billy Hubler, and their children, Leela and Hunter, of Ashland; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, David and Sandi Hartman, Daniel and Virginia Hartman, and Richard and Dawn Hartman, all of Mifflinburg, and Linda Hartman of New Columbia; six sisters and four brothers-in-law, Barbara and Carson Shrawder, Alice and Merrill Reitenbach, Susan Hartman, Janet and Michael Snyder, Peggy and Jerry Shields, and Lisa Hartman, all of Mifflinburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Hartman.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, and 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
