Robert "Bob" W. Eyerley, 71, of Beavertown, entered into rest at 7:52 p.m., Monday, February 3, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born April 28, 1948, in Nanticoke, a son of the late Clayton and Mary (Titus) Eyerley. On April 1, 1994, he married Betty Eyerley, who survives. They spent 41 years together.
He served in the US Army from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1979. He completed two tours in Vietnam, and was awarded two bronze stars.
Bob worked at Lewisburg Post Office as a postal clerk for over 25 years, until retirement.
He was a member of the New Berlin American Legion Post 957, Mifflinburg VFW Post 1964, and Union County Sportsman's Club, Millmont.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two sons, Chris Eyerley, and Robert Eyerley, Jr.; five daughters and their spouses, Ruth Osman, Jamie DiRocco, Betty and Scott Page, Connie and Shaun Flannery, and Melissa Chappell and Donnie Machamer; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Clayton; one sister, Sally; and one grandson, Bradley DiRocco.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held at a later date.
