Lewisburg – Robert Snook Bingaman, 94, formerly of Ridgeview Colony, Milton, entered into rest at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
Born May 28, 1923 in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Charles and Carrie (Snook) Bingaman. He married the former Eleanor K. Knepp on April 7, 1945, in Fort Braggs, NC. She preceded him in death on November 1, 2008.
Robert was an Army veteran serving during WWII in the Pacific Theatre in the 11th Airborne.
He graduated from Hartley Township High School, Class of 1941 and worked as an equipment operator for Pennsylvania Power and Light for 38 years.
Robert was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Allen P. and Gloria Bingaman of Corning, NY; two grandchildren, Eric Bingaman and his wife Anna of Florence, SC and Jason Bingaman of Corning, NY; four great grandchildren, Emily, Kayla, Carson and Zachary and one sister, Jeanie Hippensteihl of Douglassville.
In addition to his parents and wife, Robert was preceded in death by one sisters, Velma Hassler.
A private graveside service will be held at the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
