Renna Augustine Mook, 100, of Sunrise Silas Burke House, Burke Viriginia, passed away on November 8, 2025. She was a devoted wife for 46 years to Albert B. Mook, who preceded her in death in May of 2020.
She was born January 13, 1925 in Milroy, and lived in Mifflinburg for 46 years, before relocating to Burke, Virginia. Renna was a daughter of Harry S. and Leah H. Krepps, both deceased in 1993. Her first husband, Michael A. Augustine, predeceased her in 1954.
Renna was a graduate and honor student at Milroy High School and a member of Rhodes Memorial United Methodist Church, Lewistown, for 72 years.
She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, crochet, play bingo, tend to her flowers, and was an excellent cook and baker. Her fondest memories were spending time with her husband at their cabin. Renna was a good friend and neighbor to all who knew her. She was beloved by both residents and staff at Sunrise, where she had resided for the last five years. Her love and devotion as a mother were unparalleled and the emptiness she leaves can never be filled.
She is survived by her daughter, Carole A. Stewart of Burke, Virginia; and two stepchildren, Allen Mook of Penns Creek, and Cynthia Romig of Freeburg.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, November 17, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Steve Small and Rev. Thomas Morningstar, officiating.
Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery.
