Ralph W. Thomas, 80, of Lewisburg, peacefully entered into rest at 7:19 p.m., Sunday, September 3, 2023, at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 20, 1942, in Millmont, a son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Stahl) Thomas.  On March 16, 1963, he married the former Betty P. Keister, who survives.

Ralph attended Mifflinburg Area Schools.

He was a good Christian man and was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of New Life.

Ralph was a jack of all trades and was a self-employed dairy farmer and truck driver most of his life.

He was a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor.  Ralph was known for giving the shirt off his back and food to the homeless and those in need.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 60 years, are six children and their spouses, Ralph K. and Bonnie Thomas of Jersey Shore, Sherry and Nick Smith of Selinsgrove, Karen and Paul Woolsey of Hartleton, Heather and Randall Shultz, Sr. of Middleburg, Ashley and Nathan English of Danville, and Heidi and Gregory Vanderpool of Selinsgrove; Ralph was a proud Pappy to Paul Woolsey, Job Woolsey, Samara Smith, Shandel Smith, Randall Shultz, Jr., Robin Shultz, Katarina Shultz, Jeremy Thomas, Gavin Kingston, Dominic Vanderpool, and Mason Vanderpool; an awesome great Pappy to Maddy Woolsey, Gabriel Woolsey, Jaden Smith, and Loki Thomas; three siblings and their spouses, John and Anna Thomas of Mifflinburg, Florence and Gilbert of Newport, and Mary and Ken Zechman of Beavertown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Anna Williams; and one brother in infancy, Carl Thomas.

Family and friends are welcome to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, September 7, 2023, at the Mifflinburg Church of New Life, 8700 Buffalo Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made to the Church of New Life, 504 Whippoorwill Lane, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
