MILLMONT – Ralph J. Sheesley, 75, formerly of Pleasant Grove, of Millmont since 1997, entered into rest at 12:45 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2017, surrounded by his family, at the Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
He was born July 21, 1941, in Hartley Township, a son of the late Bruce and Mary (Aikey) Sheesley. On February 20, 1959, he married the former Lottie L. Butler, who survives.
Ralph was of the Methodist faith.
He was employed at ACF, Milton, for 35 years, until he retired in 1998.
Ralph was a founding member of the Ponderosa Hunting Club, Millmont, and a member of the Union County Sportsmen’s Club, Weikert, and West End Fire Company, Millmont.
He was a Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Philadelphia Phillies fan, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Ralph enjoyed riding his golf cart on Thomas Dam Rd., listening to country music, and especially hanging out with all his fishing and hunting buddies.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years, are two sons, Ralph B. Sheesley of Millmont, and David B. Sheesley of Mifflinburg; two daughters Connie Becker of Millmont, and Sharon and Troy Fogle of Mifflinburg; one sister, Pearl Gower of White Haven; 19 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Warren; and one infant son, Kenneth.
At Ralph’s request, there will be no public services. A celebration of life service will be conducted at a later date at the convenience of the family.
Memorial gifts may be to the Union County Sportsmen’s Club, 50 Sportsmens Club Lane, Weikert.
