Natalla Dreese

October 17, 1922 — July 16, 2017

Natalla “Tallie” M. Dreese, 94, of 107 Mifflin Place, Mifflinburg, formerly of 214 S. 5th St. (currently the Elias Church), entered into rest at 2:25 p.m., Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born October 17, 1922, in Milton, a daughter of the late Curtis Leroy and Leah Margaret (Cooper) Butler.  On January 21, 1942, she married Nelson L. Dreese, Sr., who preceded her in death March 30, 1988.

Tallie was a 1940 graduate of Milton High School.

She was a member of the St. John’s United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg, since 1942.

Tallie was employed as a seamstress at Par Knit Mills, Mifflinburg, for many years.

She enjoyed sewing, reading, playing scrabble, crossword puzzles, and collecting cardinals.  Her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren were the light of her life.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Nelson L., Jr. and Tammy Dreese of Keystone Heights, Florida; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Sean L. and Dale Weaver of Aaronsburg, Linda L. Prutzman of Mifflinburg, Gloria J. and Greg Loudenslager of Mifflinburg; and Crystal D. and Charlie Kahley of Millmont; one niece whom she raised, Jean Labar of Milton; one sister-in-law, Genevieve  Dreese of Mifflinburg; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Gerald Butler; one sister, Evelyn Rantz; two grandchildren, Travis Prutzman and Tim Weaver; and two great grandchildren, Cameron and Makenna Ruhl.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Ted Justice, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
