Myron "Mick" Sampsell

Myron “Mick” Schnure Sampsell, 97, formerly of Laurelton, entered into rest at 9:44 a.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2017, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

He was born June 18, 1920, a son of the late Harry and Frances (Schnure) Sampsell.  On October 11, 1941, in Winchester, Virginia, he married the former Phoebe Beach, who preceded him in death March 16, 2010.

Mick attended school in Laurelton.

He served in the Air Force from 1944 until his honorable discharge in 1947.

Mick was a self-employed welder.

He was a member of the Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Millmont.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Carole Sampsell of Camillus, New York; 4 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna R. Casey; and three brothers, Harold “Hap”, Carl “Bup”, and David “Nut” Sampsell.

Family and friends are welcome from noon to 1 p.m., Monday, at the Christ’s United Lutheran Church, 13765 Old Turnpike Rd., Millmont, where the funeral will be conducted at 1, with Rev. John Yost, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
