MIFFLINBURG - Michael Andrew Shetterly, 57, of 2575 Grand Valley Rd., for the past 20 years, entered into rest Sunday morning, June 15, 2014, at his home.
He was born December 4, 1956, in Lewisburg, a son of Helen L. (Maxfield) Troxell and her husband Archie L. Troxell of Mifflinburg, and the late Robert A. Shetterly and his wife, Peggy A. Shetterly of White Springs.
Michael was a 1974 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He served in the Air Force from 1974 until his honorable discharge 1978.
Michael was employed at Milton Transportation for the past 7 years, and earlier in life worked at Pennsylvania House for 19 years.
Surviving in addition to his mother are one son, Michael A. Shetterly, II, of Mifflinburg; one brother, Rodney L. Shetterly of Mifflinburg; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen D. and Jon J. Reigle, Terri K. and Thomas L. Duke, and Carol S. and Jeffrey R. Styers, all of Mifflinburg.
Michael enjoyed camping, fishing and boating on the Susquehanna River. His dog Patch was his constant companion.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
The funeral service will be conducted privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in memory of Michael to the Mostly Mutts, C/O Cheryl Zeigenfuss, Treasurer, 284 Little Mountain Road, Sunbury, PA 17801.
