Mason G. Kazakavage, 22, of Lewisburg, entered into rest Sunday, December 28, 2025.
He was born January 20, 2003, in Fuling, Chongqing Province, China, adopted on November 10, 2003, a son of James C. Kazakavage of Lewisburg and Kim L. (Black) Kazakavage of Lewisburg.
Mason was a 2021 graduate of Lewisburg High School and attended Juniata College.
He was employed as a graphic designer at RP Management, Inc., Lewisburg and at Giant Foods, Lewisburg.
Mason’s heart and mind were focused on creating. Music was one of Mason’s passions in addition to art and the love of animals, especially his pets, Bao, Gizmo, and Evy, who passed in 2023. He is a self-taught guitarist and keyboardist. He did not like performing, but did make a few exceptions with his best friends and in a few social media posts. Recently, Mason directed his talent to architectural stippling. He would spend hours penning tiny dots into a shaded architectural rendering. Many of his works were commissioned pieces, and others were gifts. While attending LHS and Juniata Mason was involved in sports and art. He played, coached, and refereed AYSO soccer. He was active in Jazz and marching band and was a member of the tennis and bowling teams. He enjoyed throwing clay and crafting various pottery pieces. While attending Juniata, Mason was a member of the tennis team, the jazz ensemble, and the glee band, and briefly volunteered at an animal shelter. Mason’s heart and mindfulness are his most treasured characteristics, being human and always lending a helping hand.
Surviving in addition to his parents, are one sister, Lydia Kazakavage of Deajeon, South Korea; grandparents, Kathleen Blickley of Selinsgrove, and James M. Kazakavage of Middletown; one uncle, Andrew and wife Beth Kazakavage of Sunbury; two aunts, Theressa and husband Merv Bilger of Bedford, Texas, and Cyndi Black of Cogan Station.
He was preceded in death by grandmother, Margaret Lieberman; and uncle, Chris Black.
