Martha Hedricks

Martha E. Hedricks, 93, entered into rest on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

She was born April 6, 1926, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Harry and Florence (Walt) Ferster. On April 6, 1947, she married Lloyd F. Hedricks, who preceded her in death.

Martha was a graduate of Sunbury High School.

She had been employed at Sears and the Sunbury hat factory.

Martha enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and creating cross-stitch pictures.

Her favorite pass times were camping, fishing, gardening and enjoying her pets.

Martha attended Christ's United Lutheran Church, Millmont.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Edward L. and Janet Hedricks of Holden, Missouri; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda S. and Gerald Wisniewski of Tamaqua; one sister, Gladys Mummey of Selinsgrove; one grandson and his spouse, Justin and Yonhui Hedricks, and great-grandson Enzo of Keller, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, William Ferster; and one brother-in-law, Glenn Mummey of Selinsgrove.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where a memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. John Yost, officiating.

Burial will be held privately in United Lutheran Cemetery, Sunbury.
