Marlin R. Sauers, 86, of 1925 Buffalo Rd., Lewisburg, entered into rest at 2:05 p.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2020, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab.
He was born October 23, 1933 in Buffalo Township, a son of the late Marlin B. and Sara C. (Boob) Sauers. On March 17, 1954, he married the former Joyce Rohland, who survives. Together they celebrated 66 years of marriage and had five children.
Marlin was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
He was employed at Pioneer Seed and was a self-employed farmer.
Marlin was a member of Mifflinburg Young Farmers, and Lewisburg Bowling League. He also umpired softball games.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are four sons and one daughter-in-law, Richard and Sue Sauers of Peyton, Colorado, Wade Sauers of Selinsgrove, Timothy Sauers of Madison, Wisconsin, and Thomas Sauers of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Wendy Sauers of Lewisburg; and three grandchildren, Oliver and Ryan Sauers of Mifflinburg, and Victoria Sauers.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Marvin R. Sauers.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., where the memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Jim Brubaker, officiating. Masks are required and social distancing will be in effect.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to William Cameron Engine Company, 11 Buffalo Rd, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
