He was born December 18, 1932, in Union Township, a son of the late Arthur and Helen (Walter) Brosius. On September 21, 1951, in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, Mifflinburg, he married the former Pauline A. Heeter. She preceded him in death July 29, 2008.

Marlin attended various schools throughout his childhood and finished at the Creek School, West Buffalo Township, where he met his future bride, Pauline.

Earlier in life, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, vacations with his family, playing poker, and fish frys with his brother-in-law. Marlin took one last memorable fishing trip with his brother-in-law.

In later years, due to failing eyesight, he enjoyed his big screen television, his daughter reading books to him, and continuing his Hess Truck collection.

Marlin enjoyed visiting with family and friends on special holiday occasions, and especially looked forward to visits from his Jersey Shore friends and his lifelong friend, Danny.

He loved babies, and was thrilled with all the new children born in his family and to his friend, and enjoyed the special baby visits.

Marlin enjoyed the baked goods and food that his nieces prepared for him and looked forward to the yearly pan of scrapple from his nephew.

Surviving are one daughter, Janet I. Brosius of Mifflinburg; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie Heeter of Mifflinburg, and Ruth and Herbert Wirth of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Stewart and Judy Brosius of Mifflinburg; one sister-in-law, Mary Heeter of Mifflinburg; and a collection of beloved nieces and nephews, and extended families.
