Lydia Zook, 77, of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania went home to be with her Lord at 2:10 a.m., Sunday, October 25, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born August 3, 1949, in Mechanicsville, Maryland, a daughter of the late Alvin F. Sr. and Malinda (Stoltzfus) Yoder. On October 29, 1968, she married Amos J. Zook, who survives.
Lydia was a member of Christian Believers Fellowship, Lewisburg.
She enjoyed scrapbooking, gardening, and taking care of her flower beds, some of which were legendary. People would stop to take pictures of the barn bank as well as admire her hydrangea bushes, which were planted quite a distance off the road.
Her family was very important, which manifested itself in supporting her husband as a church leader, helping with dairy chores, managing the finances, cooking and baking for her family, as well as neighbors or anyone who showed up at the family residence. Lydia’s strong spirit, faith in God, and love of life served her well in her 18-year battle with Parkinsons.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 58 years, are her children and their spouses, Linda (Kevin) Miller, John (Rose) Zook, Alvin (Wanda) Zook, Lavern (Trish) Zook, Timothy (Janelle) Zook, and Leanna (Thomas) Stauffer; 26 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; five brothers and spouses, Isaac (Lavina) Yoder of Westmoreland, Tennessee, Ben (Leah) Yoder of McVeytown, Pennsylvania, Sam (Lena) Yoder of Mifflintown, Pennsylvania, her twin Alvin Jr. (Anna) Yoder of Trinidad, Colorado, and Noah (Carol) Yoder of Decatur, Iowa; three sisters and spouses, Hannah (Amos) Stoltzfus of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, Linda (John) Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and Molly (Melvin) Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania; and sister-in-law, Lizzie Yoder of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Israel Yoder; one infant grandchild; and one great-grandchild, Brinley Noel Zook.
Family and friends are welcome to the viewing from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at Shady Grove Christian Fellowship Church, 5327 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, with the local church ministry officiating.
Burial will follow in Christian Believers Fellowship Cemetery, 5806 Col. John Kelly Road, Lewisburg.
Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.
