Lorene W. Sholter

Lorene W. Sholter, 94, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 5:30 p.m., Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

She was born November 27, 1931, in West Buffalo Township, a daughter of the late Henry Cameron and Clemetta (Erb) Wagner. On May 1, 1953, in Forest Hill, she married John L. Sholter, who preceded her in death October 6, 2021.

Lorene was a 1951 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was employed as a Purchasing Secretary at Bucknell University, from 1961 until she retired in 1994.

Lorene was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of New Life.

She enjoyed camping, traveling on bus trips with her sister and brother-in-law, going out to eat at restaurants, shopping, and spending time with her family, dogs, and her dear friend, Beverly.

Surviving are one sister and brother-in-law, Rhelda and Kenneth Rishel of Mifflinburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four sisters, Myrtle Swartz, Gladys Hartman, Hazel Jows, Beulah Prutzman; and one brother, Harold Wagner.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, April 27, at the Mifflinburg Church of New Life, 8700 Buffalo Rd., with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
