Leon L. Delcamp, 80, Mifflinburg

Leon LeRoy Delcamp, 80, of 105 Mifflin Place, for the past 5 years, formerly of 409 Main St., Hartleton, entered into rest at 3:55 a.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2011, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.

He was born December 2, 1930, in Snyder County, a son of the late Roy and Sarah (DeLong) Delcamp. On December 6, 1951, in the Forest Hill United Methodist Church, he married the former Marie Z. Mook, who survives.

Leon attended the Mifflinburg Schools.

He was a self-employed contractor for most of his working career, until he retired and started the Hartleton Flea Market, which he and his wife operated for many years.

Earlier in life, Leon attended the Milton Assembly of God Church.

He enjoyed repairing items for his friends and family.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 59 years, are three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Sheryl Delcamp of Ocala, Florida, Wayne and Linda Delcamp of Middleburg, and Elwood and Barbara Delcamp of Miffinburg; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Kenneth Delcamp of Lansdowne, Miles and Martha Delcamp of Mifflinburg, and Harold and Charlotte Delcamp of Mifflinburg; one sister, Fredia Schnure of Mifflinburg; 5 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Orvis; and one sister, Miriam Robenalt.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor Nathan Condon, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
