LaVerne Radel

LaVerne L. Radel, 85, of Millmont, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 2:20 a.m., Tuesday September 23, 2025, at Hershey Medical Center.

She was born July 15, 1940 in Lewistown, a daughter of the late John and Betty (Paige) Brininger. On November 7, 1957, she married the late Glen E. Radel, who preceded her in death November 14, 2002.

She was employed at Laurelton Center.

LaVerne enjoyed crocheting and making tea towels, puzzle books and cooking.

Surviving is one son, Rick Radel of Millmont: three daughters and one son-in-law, Brenda and Richard Trutt of Lewisburg, Glenda Radel of Millmont, and Barbara Radel of Mifflinburg; four grandchildren and their families, Dustin and Heidi and Noah Radel of Mifflinburg, Jonathan and Matt, Zack and Bella Radel of Mifflinburg, Tiffany and Mike Luzier of Milton, and Tyler and Kylie, and Sawyer and Colton Radel of Millmont; one brother, Jerry and Mary Lou Brininger of Lewisburg; and one sister Connie Hess of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Judy Brininger in infancy.

Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 2 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Beavertown God’s Missionary Church, 1693 Creek Road, Middleburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2, with Pastors James Plank, Solomon Shaffer, Nick Rine, and Terry Yoder, officiating.

Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
