Larry R. Long

Larry R. Long, 78, of New Columbia, entered into rest at 1:16 p.m., Friday, October 23, 2026, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born November 1, 1947 in Lewisburg, a son of the late Harry R. and Beulah J. (Krouse) Long. On March 16, 1973, he married the former Florence E. Kratzer, who survives.

Larry was a 1966 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He served in the US Army from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1971.

He was employed at Conagra for over 45 years, until retirement.

Larry restored Oliver Tractors and was in various tractor clubs.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 53 years, are one daughter and son-in-law, Denise and William Phillips of Fredericksburg, Virginia; one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremiah and Meghan Long of Cary, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Benjamin and Kaylee Phillips, and Brayden and Carson; two sisters, Shirley Guisewite and Sandy Miller; and one brother, Lamar Long.
