Kathy K. Aikey, 60, of 183 Meadow Green Dr., entered into rest at 11:20 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2014, at her home. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born March 9, 1954, a daughter of the late H. L. and Esther (Lytle) Klose. She was married to Rick Aikey, who preceded her in death.
Kathy was a 1971 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg.
Kathy was co-owner of H. L. Klose & Sons, Mifflinburg.
She enjoyed riding motorcycle with Mike and antiquing. Kathy loved her two dogs, Heidi and Max.
Kathy was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lewisburg.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Jeremy Aikey of Philadelphia; one step-son, Chris Aikey of Selinsgrove; one step-daughter, Amber Aikey of Milton; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Marie Klose of Mifflinburg; one sister-in-law, Cindy and her husband John Shipton of Mifflinburg; her companion, Mike Reedy; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother and sister-in-law, Charles "Clip" and Carol Klose.
In honoring Kathy's wishes, there will be no public viewing. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
The family will provide flowers. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Evangelical Hospice, 1 Hospital Dr., Lewisburg, PA 17844.
