Joy Lynn Zimmerman

Joy Lynn Zimmerman, 87, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 3:30 p.m., Monday, December 23, 2024, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born October 10, 1937, in East Sparta, Ohio, a daughter of the late Joseph Ralph and Evelyn Mae (Huffman) Dye. She was formerly married to Terry L. Zimmerman, VMD.

Joy was a 1955 graduate of Milton High School.

She enjoyed ceramics, quilting, bowling, traveling, cooking, baking, and was known for her annual Christmas cookie bake.

Surviving are six children and their spouses, Suzanne and George Croll of Zion Grove, Crystal Black of Milton, Wendy and Gary Pan of Great Falls, Virginia, Kevin Zimmerman of Mifflinburg, Heidi Zimmerman of Lewisburg, and Bradley and Heidi Zimmerman of Lewisburg; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one brother, Ned Dye of Florida; and one sister, Jo Alyce Wise of St. Louis, Missouri. 

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Ann Burns and Mary Lou Benshoff.

Services will be private.
