John R. Englehart, 88, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 11:20 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at his daughters’ home in Beavertown.
He was born August 1, 1932 in West Buffalo Township, a son of the late Galen L. and Elizabeth (Aikey) Englehart. On September 27, 1957, he married the former Roberta J. Croce, who preceded him in death August 6, 2019.
John attended Mifflinburg High School.
He served in the US Army from September 1949 until his honorable discharge in March 1957.
John was employed at Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg, and retired from Mifflinburg Area School District.
He was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoyed woodworking, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Dianna L. Lloyd of Mifflinburg, and Karen L. and Jerre Aumiller of Beavertown; one sister, Lila Denius of Lewisburg; three grandchildren, Christy Mugridge, and John and Jenna Aumiller; two brothers-in-law, Steve Croce of Mantua, New Jersey, and Richard VonNeida of Millmont; one sister-in-law, Sheryl Croce of Clarksboro, New Jersey, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Myrtle VonNeida; and one grandson, Justin M. Lloyd.
A celebration of life will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
