Jerry E. Tyson, 63, Mifflinburg
Jerry E. Tyson, 63, of 1661 Pine Bark Lane, entered into rest at 10:28 a.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2012, due to natural causes, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born May 11, 1949, in West Buffalo Township, a son of the late Earl K. and June B. (Bilger) Tyson.
Jerry was a 1967 graduate of Mifflinburg High School, and then graduated from Lock Haven University, in 1971, with a degree in History.
He then served in the Army from 1971 until his honorable discharge in 1978.
Jerry was employed at Con-Agra, Milton, for over 30 years.
He enjoyed fishing in area streams and hunting.
Jerry was a member of the Forest Hill Fast Pitch Softball team for over 20 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Loni M. Tyson of Mifflinburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Earl "Butch" and Donna Tyson, and Ronnie and Deb Tyson, all of Mifflinburg; one sister, Pauline Wagner of Lewisburg; and one grandson, Jordan Anthony Tyson.
Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where a memorial service will be conducted at 7:30.
