Jason “Jake” W. Leitzel, 46, of 2 E. Green St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest Monday morning, September 14, 2020, at home.
He was born March 11, 1974, in Lewisburg, a son of Susan M. (Smith) Leitzel of Mifflinburg, and Douglas R., Sr. and Dorothy Leitzel of Selinsgrove.
Jake was a 1992 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School where he played football and baseball and attended Lock Haven University.
He was employed as a cook at the Mifflinburg Scarlet D and was previously a cook at Mike and Dots, Mifflinburg.
Jake coached baseball and enjoyed fishing with his pap.
He was a Penn State, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Jake enjoyed spending time with his friends watching sports, playing cards, and sharing memories.
Surviving in addition to his parents are one brother and sister-in-law, Doug, Jr. and Tara Leitzel of Middleburg; grandmother, Betty Smith of Lewisburg; and two nieces, Kara Leitzel and her fiancé Ryon Kaster, and Mallory Leitzel and her companion Austine Maneval; and one great nephew, Hendrix.
Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, and 9:30 to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, 875 Dreisbach Church Rd., Lewisburg, where the memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Nathan Druckenmiller, officiating. Masks and social distancing will be in effect.
Interment will be in the Dreisbach Church Cemetery.
