James C. Mitchell

James C. Mitchell, 93, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest Saturday, June 27, 2026, at home.

He was born September 16, 1932, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Clarence and Vera (Printzenhoff) Mitchell. On June 23, 1956, he married the former Lou Jane Arnold, who preceded him in death November 19, 2015.

James was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He served in the Army in Korea from 1950 until his honorable discharge in 1953 as rank of Sergeant. During this time he was awarded with the Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and the Korean Service Medal with 2 bronze service stars.

James was the owner and operator of Mitchell’s Service and Auto Body, Mifflinburg, from 1957 until he retired in 2023.

Surviving is one son, James R. Mitchell of Mifflinburg.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Mitchell.

Funeral services will be private.
