James M. Courtney Sr.

James Michael Courtney, Sr., 65, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at home.

He was born on December 4, 1960 in Baltimore, Maryland, a son of the late James Samuel Jr., and Joy Lee (Parrish) Courtney.

James was a graduate of Andover High School in Linthicum, Maryland.

He was employed as a truck driver for Berg and Sons.

James enjoyed listening to the radio, watching Youtube, spending time with his family, and his cockatiel, Spotty.

Surviving is one son, James Michael Courtney, Jr. and Crystal Houser of Pasadena, Maryland; five grandchildren, Cameron, Jameson, and Avery Courtney, and Richie and Sheena Staton; and one sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Robert Boehnlein of Lewisburg; niece, Sarah and Chris Berry of Danville; one great-niece, Katherine Berry; and niece, Misty Kyle.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
