James Baumer

James “Jim” Edward Baumer, 56, of 2802 Johnson Mill Rd., Lewisburg, lost his battle with cancer at 10:20 a.m., Monday, February 26, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his close family and friends.

He was born August 12, 1961, in Lewisburg, a son of the late G. Marlin and Marguerite (Royer) Baumer.  He was married to the former Lena Reitenbach, who survives.

Jim was a 1979 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He was employed at the Ford Garage, Mifflinburg, prior to opening his own garage, Baumer’s Repair shop, in 1982.

Jim was a member of the Mifflinburg Church of New Life.

He was a member of the Pennsylvania Trappers Association, District 7.

Jim enjoyed hunting, trapping, camping, restoring tractors, being in the woods, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are one daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Nicholas Jordan of Mifflinburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Chelsey Baumer of Mifflinburg; one step-son, Alan Wolfe, Jr., and his fiancé Lauren Greenfield of Muncy; one step daughter and step son-in-law, Angela and Joshua Anspach of Milton; seven grandchildren, Brooklyn Wade, Rylie Anspach, Brynlee Jordan, Spencer Jordan, Landon Anspach, Lucas Jordan, and Avery Baumer; one sister, Barbara Edinger of New Columbia; one brother and sister-in-law, David and Nioka Baumer of Lewisburg; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Coleman Williams.

There will be no public viewing.  Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Mifflinburg Church of New Life, 8700 Buffalo Rd., where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
