LEWISBURG - Helen Marie Gotshall, 79, of 395 Dreisbach Church Road, entered into rest at 4:35 a.m. Sunday, March 21, 2010, at RiverWoods, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident since March 9.
She was born Jan. 26, 1931, a daughter of the late Walter and Regina (Schlegel) Winegardner. On Aug. 23, 1947, in Northumberland, she married Leroy "Pete" C. Gotshall who preceded her in death on March 9, 2009.
She was employed at Par-Knit, Mifflinburg, for 40 years.
Helen was a member of the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, Mifflinburg, since 1969, where she was a Sunday school teacher and was active in the Women's Fellowship.
Helen enjoyed making crafts and ceramics and sewing items for her family and friends.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy C., Jr. and Janet Gotshall, of Lewisburg, Gary E. and Jean Gotshall, of Beavertown, and Larry L. and Marlene Gotshall, of Mifflinburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Sandy Winegardner, of Mifflinburg; seven grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Winegardner; two grandchildren, John and Phillip Gotshall; and one great-grandson, David M. Wenrick.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren, 46 Brethren Church Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with the Rev. Randall C. Fiske, officiating.
Burial will be in the Buffalo Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
