MIFFLINBURG – Harriet Elaine (Yeager) Packer, of 6292 Old Turnpike Rd., for the past 32 years, entered into rest at 3:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2015, at her home.
She was born February 5, 1950, in Danville, a daughter of the late Harry I. and Lois C. (Kline) Yeager. On April 9, 1966, she married John W. Packer, Sr., who survives.
Harriet attended Mifflinburg High School.
She was a member of the Church of New Life, Mifflinburg, and enjoyed fellowship with her church family.
Harriet was employed at Q-E Manufacturing, New Berlin, for many years, and also worked at Yorktowne, Mifflinburg, Ritz-Craft, Mifflinburg, and Elmcroft, Lewisburg.
She enjoyed making country crafts for friends and arranging flowers for weddings.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, John W., Jr. and Melinda Packer of New Berlin; one daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Jeff Wiser of New Berlin; one brother and sister-in-law, Wayne E. and Darcy Yeager of Sunbury; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Betty J. Herman of Selinsgrove, Judy A. Berger of Middleburg, Joan M. and Paul Shatto of Elysburg, and Linda L. and Clair Newcomer of Mifflinburg; 2 grandchildren, Ashley and her husband Casey Wright, and Brett Wiser and his fiancé Kayla Girton; and 2 great grandchildren, Samantha Wright, and Lilian Wiser.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Yeager.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Harriet, will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Church of New Life, Route 192, Mifflinburg, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.
Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
