Gordon Oberdorf

Gordon Lee Oberdorf, Sr., 81, of 230 Hawk Road, Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 7:57 AM, Friday, November 6, 2020, at his home.

He was born September 2, 1939, in West Buffalo Township, a son of the late Wilbert Adron and Clara Beatrice (Pentycoff) Oberdorf.  On February 25, 1962, in Mazeppa, he married the former Joyce A. Hartman, who survives. Joyce was the love of his life.

Gordon attended Mifflinburg Area High School.

He was a member of the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church.

Gordon was employed at Chef Boyardee, Milton, for over 40 years.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting, vacationing with his family, fishing, watching movies, and attending church. Gordon also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, joking with people and loved making them laugh.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Gary Oberdorf of Williamsport, and Gorden, Jr. and Priscilla Oberdorf of Mifflinburg; one daughter, Lori Wagner of Mifflinburg; two brothers and one sister-in-law Homer Oberdorf of Mifflinburg, and Adron and Pat Oberdorf Mifflinburg; five grandchildren Jeffrey, Casey, Amanda, Janelle, and Gregory; and seven great grandchildren, Veronica, Kylie, Chance, Coltyn, Addison, Logan, and Shelby.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Sylvia Bierly.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 AM, Tuesday, at the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church, 954 Johnson Mill Rd., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 AM, with Rev. Daniel Hicks, officiating. Masks are required and social distancing will be in effect.

Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery.
