Gladys I. Wetzel

Gladys I. Wetzel, 99, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born January 11, 1927, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Romain and Isabel (Campbell) Dorman. On December 29, 1945, she married Donald M. Wetzel, Sr., who preceded her in death April 9, 2001.

Gladys was a 1945 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was employed at JPM, Co., Lewisburg.

Gladys was a member of St. John’s Union Church, Dry Valley.

She enjoyed baking, sewing, crocheting, and gardening.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Don Jr. and Marcia Wetzel of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Judy and William Chappell of Zephyrhills, Florida; daughter-in-law, Patricia Wetzel of Mifflinburg; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Robert and Sue Dorman of Mifflinburg, Thomas Dorman of Beavertown, and Roy and Ginny Dorman of Florida; sisters, Alice Bottiger of Cowan, Mildred Sauers of Mazeppa, and Margaret Aumiller of Beavertown; 9 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Kenneth and Jack Wetzel; two brothers, Romain Dorman, Jr., and Lewis Dorman; one sister, Ruth Moll; two brothers-in-law, Charlie Aumiller and Beryl Sauers.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 17, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Ricky Phillips, officiating.

Burial will be in Hartleton Cemetery.
