George F. Matters, 82, New Berlin
George Franklin Matters, 82, of 637 Market St., since 1944, entered into rest at 12:54 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2010, at his home.
He was born September 26, 1927, in Limestone Township, a son of the late John J. and Carrie M. (Ramer) Matters.
George was employed as a foreman at the Rosedale Dairy, New Berlin, for over 20 years. Throughout his working years, he was also employed at Q-E Manufacturing, New Berlin, and Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg.
Surviving are three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Chester A. Matters of Watsontown, Truman R. and Helen G. Matters of Mifflinburg, and Lewis A. and Jean Matters of Navarre, FL.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Willard and Clayton Matters; and two sisters, Gertrude Maize and Goldie Hackenburg.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
