Gary Lee Ruhl

Gary L. Ruhl, 72, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 7:25 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

He was born April 3, 1954, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Eugene E. and Aida M. (Cromley) Ruhl. On April 5, 1975, at the Dreisbach United Church of Christ, Lewisburg, he married the former Rose A. Shiffer, who survives.

Gary attended Mifflinburg High School.

He was a truck driver for most of his life and the owner and operator of the R.G. & Son Trucking, Mifflinburg, for 25 years.

Gary was a member of the Middleburg Moose, and Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 401, Watsontown.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, mowing grass, plowing snow, camping, and spending time with his family and his dogs.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Kelly Ruhl of Mifflinburg; three grandchildren and their spouses, Paige and Jacob John of Winfield, Harley and Skylar Ruhl of Mifflinburg, and Hayley Ruhl of Sunbury; five great grandchildren, Jaxon, Ivy, and Vincent Ruhl, and Jaxon and Gage John; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Dale and Linda Ruhl of Danville, and Todd Ruhl of Mifflinburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and Dale Wintersteen of Danville; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Shannon Ruhl; and one sister, Connie Lynn Ruhl, in infancy.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Monday, June 22, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Ron Wagner, officiating. Watsontown Masonic Lodge 401 will be performing Masonic funeral services. 

Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
