Gary L. Keister, 83, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 10:39 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2025, at his home.
He was born February 17, 1942, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Paul and Charlotte (Wetzel) Keister. On August 16, 2008, he married the former Pamela Mullin, who survives. They were together since 1989.
Gary was a 1960 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He was employed at Faylor-Middlecreek (New Enterprise), Winfield, for 52 years, until he retired in 2012. After retirement, Gary worked at H.L. Klose & Sons, Mifflinburg, for 10 years.
He was a member of the Union County Sportsmen’s Club, Weikert.
Gary enjoyed football, racing, and especially Go-Kart racing.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 17 years, are three sons and one daughter-in-law, Randy and Joyce Keister of Riverside, Mark Keister and his fiance Julie Schultz of Mifflinburg, and Paul Keister of Mifflinburg; one step-son, Kenneth Rea of Milton; one step-daughter, Ana Rea of Mifflinburg; 7 grandchildren and their spouses, Desiree and Afeef Ikbarieh, Jonathan and Sarah Keister, Derrick and Christa Keister, Blair and Evan Willard, Cassie Keister and Garrett Walls, Ethan Keister, and Brystol Keister; 3 step grandchildren, Autumn Shelley, Melody Shelley, and Charles Rea; and 6 great grandchildren, Aliyah Ikbarieh, Dylan Keister, Cameron Keister, Caden Keister, Vincent Willard, and Vivian Walls.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Loudenslager.
Family and friends are welcome to a viewing from 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, December 28, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.
Funeral services will be private.
