Fred A. Mast, 77, Mifflinburg

Fred A. Mast, 77, of 1004 Buffalo Creek Rd., since 1996, entered into rest Saturday, May 8, 2010, at his residence.

He was born September 28, 1932, in Arthur, Illinois, a son of the late Andrew and Lydia (Schrock) Mast. On November 18, 1954, in Arthur, he married the former Mary O. Diener, who survives.

Fred was the owner and operator of the Buffalo Creek Furniture Restoration Service, Mifflinburg.

He was a member of the Valley Mennonite Chapel, Madisonburg.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 55 years, are 8 sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Esther Mast of Dundee, NY, Allen and Tina Mast of Millerton, Willis and Ruth Mast of Myerstown, Vernon and Beth Mast of Heron, Montana, Olen and Vicki Mast of Turbotville, Roger and Faye Mast of Manheim, James and Christine Mast of Middleburg, and Harold and Stacy Mast of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Velma and James Herschberger of Summersville, KY; one sister, Sovilla Gingerich of Arthur, Il; 32 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, William, Jonas, Levi, and Joseph; 3 sisters, Sara, Anna, and Rebecca; and 2 grandchildren, Ashely and Kye.

Friends and family are welcome from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.. Tuesday, and prior to 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Millmont Mennonite Church, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, by ministers Christian Dienner, Marvin Freed, and Kenneth Freed.

Burial will be in the Millmont Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
